LITTLE ANGELS – Too Posh To Mosh [Cherry Red remaster / original ’87 mix] *0dayrox Exclusive*

As requested, here’s the now hard to find reissue of LITTLE ANGELS first album “Too Posh To Mosh“, digitally remastered by Cherry Red / Lemon Records, and for the first time in its ’87 mix.
Originally released November 1987 on LP vinyl & cassette only, these recordings were later released on CD in 1994 under the title ‘Too Posh To Mosh, Too Good To Last!’, but remixed.
This Cherry Red release is the original, much better, capturing LITTLE ANGELS original essence with a glammy / melodic hard sound n’ attitude. The song ‘Reach For Me’ also features the ‘Too Posh To Mosh’ reprise that was only previously included at the end of side 1 of the original vinyl.

LITTLE ANGELS formed in Scarborough, England in 1984, under the name Mr. Thrud. The founding members were Toby Jepson (vocals), Mark Plunkett (bassist), Dave Hopper (drummer) and the brothers Bruce John / Jimmy Dickinson (guitarist / keyboardist).
Michael Lee joined the band to replace Hopper around 1988/89, when the band changed their name to LITTLE ANGELS and began to achieve national success. It was at this time that the band met Kevin Nixon who would become their manager and label boss when he signed them to his York-based company Powerstation Records.

Despite its limited budget, these recordings are very good, done at midnight into different studios when there were reduced cost per hour. LITTLE ANGELS rocks quite harder here, and even there’s some AORish moments with that 1986-1987 typical style & sound.
The Cherry Red / Lemon Records remaster is clean bringing this ‘lost’ album to life again after many years fans asking the original mix / artwork. Out of print, this CD has become expensive and hard to find.
