Available today in Germany, but worldwide on May 6, MICHAEL SCHENKER’S TEMPLE OF ROCK will release “On A Mission : Live In Madrid“, a document of their Nov. 19, 2015 concert at the Joy Eslava in the Spanish capital city.
Undoubtedly, one of the most intriguing tours of recent times for fans of classic rock / hard rock was when legendary guitarist Michael Schenker reunited with his former Scorpions bandmates, bassist Francis Buchholz and drummer Herman Rarebell, for a worldwide jaunt.

Also featuring great singer Doogie White and guitarist / keyboardist Wayne Findlay, Michael Schenker and his crew chose Madrid’s Joy Eslava Theatre as the location for the recording of the concert. The historical 3-story theatre created an intimate relationship between the band and audience.
On the evening of November 19th, 2015, this sold-out gig captured the power and excitement of Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock in full flight.
The band sounds tight and relaxed, but plenty of fire.

All phases of Schenker’s long and winding career are touched upon, including UFO (“Lights Out”), Scorpions (“Coast to Coast”), MSG (“Victim of Illusion”), and Temple of Rock (“Live and Let Die”), including several special surprises, such as a reading of the Scorpions’ biggest hit, “Rock You Like a Hurricane.”
During this concert, Schenker played various guitars, including the premiere of his new double-neck Flying-M with 2 necks, each with 6 strings, with each neck tuned differently.

What kind of a band would the Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock be without a singer who sets his own standards? They found just such a vocalist in Doogie White (formerly lead singer of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow) and he is now part of a permanent line-up of Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock, and has also mastered the vast majority of Schenker’s repertoire.
