BUCK DHARMA – Archive [unreleased & rarities 3xCD digitally remastered] *Exclusive*

Donald Bruce Roeser more commonly known by his stage name BUCK DHARMA, is one of Blue Öyster Cult founding members and wrote & sang the lead vocals on many of the band’s best-known hits, including “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” “Godzilla” and “Burnin’ for You.” In the early ’80s Dharma need some room to express other musical ideas and ending releasing a solo album.
As requested, here’s the BUCK DHARMA ‘Archive‘ album series including material he recorded at the time but never released. The 3-CD contain original song demos for legendary songs like “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and “Burnin’ for You” as well as unreleased recordings like “Devil’s Nail” and “Pack of Lies”.
The discs also show you the more melodic side of of the musician, all featuring the songwriting finesse and guitar virtuosity of Buck Dharma and complemented with various audio oddities, jams and humorous songs.
All tracks were digitally remastered by Buck himself in his home studio.
There’s a lot to enjoy here from the atmospheric early version of ‘Shooting Shark’, the AORish ‘Stone of Love’, to the primo melodic rock circa 1982 on the different ‘Spy in the House of the Night’, and of course the very original version of ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ which worth this collection alone…

THE RED AND THE BLACK (Buck Dharma) – 1988-90 album prev. unreleased [digitally remastered]

THE RED AND THE BLACK was a New York based power trio formed in 1988 by BLUE ÖYSTER CULT guitarist / vocalist Donald ‘Buck Dharma‘ Roeser, bassist John Rogers and drummer Ron Riddle – so the band’s personnel comprised three fifths of ex- Blue Öyster Cult musicians as it was then currently composed.
They composed many songs, recorded several demos and performed live in and around the New York vicinity, (sometimes as RONDONJON or ROESER, RIDDLE & ROGERS), and while a record company resulted interested, the band never got signed and all the material remained unreleased.
Alongside his 3 ‘Archive’ CD’s series of rarities, Buck Dharma remastered all THE RED AND THE BLACK demos and finally released THE RED AND THE BLACK lost recordings. The band’s sound is pretty commercial rock&pop / melodic rock with that sound production (very good sound quality) from the era including big electronic drums and synths…

BUCK DHARMA – Flat Out [Rock Candy collector’s edition]

Blue Oyster Cult’s founder member, songwriter and lead guitarist Donald BUCK DHARMA Roeser released back in the ’80s his first solo LP “Flat Out“, for many years very hard to find. Rock Candy Records made the album available again, now with a 24-bit remastering treatment from original source tapes.
During BOC’s very successful career, Buck Dharma started to accumulate a back-log of quality songs that simply were not BOC-compatible. Already known as the member of the band with the softer and melodic side, many of his contributions to BOC tended to be less abrasive and more melodically suited to radio.
Even when Roeser first demoed ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ to the band, his bandmates thought ‘Reaper’ was too soft for BOC. Rumor has it that either lead singer-guitarist Eric Bloom or drummer Albert Bouchard threatened to quit if ‘Reaper’ was included on their next album ‘Agents Of Fortune’ (the song become the most famous BOC’s single ever).
With “Flat Out” Dharma was able to showcase his more personal musical side without the hard rock / metal expectation associated with Blue Oyster Cult…
