VICTORY – Two Years And A Few Beers Later [2xCD] (2017) *0dayrox Exclusive*

As requested, you’ll rock your bones now with Germany hard rockers VICTORY and their not easy to find album ”Two Years And A Few Beers Later”, a double CD released by AOR Heaven Records in 2016 but as went sold out, the band themselves re-released the package in 2017, only available on physical format.
Always commanded by guitarist Ferman Frank (ex Accept, Moon’Doc), ”Two Years And A Few Beers Later” features the best of Victory’s recorded during two years of gigs and tours with the band’s current line-up since 2013. Frank says: ”I think the band has real power live, fresh blood.”
And like most live albums, this one is actually a best of, but also including new songs. The sound quality, mix, etc is excellent…

VICTORY – Gods Of Tomorrow (2021)

German Eighties Hard Rock veterans VICTORY are releasing November 26 their first new album in 10 years – “Gods Of Tomorrow”. Formed in 1984, VICTORY is one of the most distinctive acts of its genre. VICTORY ranked alongside SCORPIONS, ACCEPT and HELLOWEEN as one of the most successful German bands, played countless arena and festival shows all over the world and released 10 records to date.
Their last album released in 2011 was the last record of the original line-up. But guitarist Herman Frank, who was also a longtime member of ACCEPT, never gave up on VICTORY and decided to continue the band.
Newborn, heavier and stronger than ever, “Gods Of Tomorrow” sees a revitalized VICTORY, driven by biting riffs and killer melodies…

HERMAN FRANK – Two For A Lie (2021)

Former ACCEPT, VICTORY, etc guitarist HERMAN FRANK is ready to release ”Two For A Lie“, his fifth solo album, more a ‘band’ like never before including the talents of Rick Altzi (MASTERPLAN, AT VANCE) on lead vocals, bass player Michael Müller (JADED HEART) and super drummer Kevin Kott (MASTERPLAN).
Herman can tear up an electric guitar, there’s no doubt about that. Adding to his arsenal of riffs is Mike Peshin (also ex- VICTORY) to double up that riff power. This is a tight, rock solid band for certain.
Hallmarks of this album are the catchy riffs, driving rhythms, flawless guitar work that is sometimes lean, sometimes fat, but always tasty. Vocals from Altzi are spot on and soaring. Lyrics are at times insightful, but not kitschy.
Overall, this is a timeless melodic metal sounding, balls to the wall (sorry) album with all that ‘European’ feeling…

ACCEPT – Russian Roulette [HNE / Cherry Red remastered & expanded]

Cherry Red / Hear No Evil Records have been doing a terrific job lately remastering classic albums with the same quality standards of colleagues like Rock Candy or YesterRock. Among the revisited bands they reissued, there is ACCEPT‘s truly classic ’80s albums with expanded artwork and bonus material (two of them featured here on the blog).
Now we are presenting “Russian Roulette” remastered & expanded, an album that proved once more that if fiery melodic Teutonic metallic hard rock was what you hankered for, then nobody did it better than Accept.

ACCEPT – Metal Heart + Kaizoku-Ban [Cherry Red / HNE remaster]

One of my favorite ACCEPT albums, their sixth studio effort “Metal Heart“has been reissued by Hear No Evil / Cherry Red Records including as bonus the EP “Kaizoku-Ban, remastered by the ‘Rock Candy guy’ Andy Pearce.
“Metal Heart” is Accept’s second major label release after the instant metal classic Balls To The Wall. Produced by expert Dieter Dierks (Scorpions) this record found the legendary and highly influential German band go in a slightly more US radio-friendly style than their previous releases.

ACCEPT – Balls To The Wall + Staying A Life [Expanded / Remastered]

Balls To The Wall” was the album that made ACCEPT famous all over the World, and without a doubt, it’s one of their best. For sure it deserved a Deluxe Edition, and prestigious British label Hear No Evil / Cherry Red Records did a great job putting out this “Balls To The Wall / Staying A Life“, a double CD in remastered form.
I love “Balls To The Wall”, it’s like a soundtrack of my youth. Not only includes 10 killer tracks, it also redefined the ‘metal sound’ of the Eighties, with a production – courtesy of master Michael Wagener – that set a new bar for what heavy rock could sound like on a record.
From the fantastically catchy chord progressions, clean and sharp…

HERMAN FRANK – Fight The Fear (2019)

With the first three albums HERMANN FRANK and his comrades-in-arms caused storms of enthusiasm in both the press and the fans. The ex Accept / Victory guitarist and his band are presenting tomorrow their fourth opus titled “Fight The Fear”, cast in the same mold as the previous; classic melodic metal in the European fashion. Together with MASTERPLAN front vocalist...

HERMAN FRANK – Right In The Guts (2012)

* German axe slinger HERMAN FRANK has without a doubt an impressive career.
