KROKUS – Headhunter USA Tour 1983 *HQ* *Exclusive*

Produced by Tom Allom and featuring Rob Halford as guest, KROKUS delivered a high-energy, career-defining commercial breakthrough with their 1983 album ‘Headhunter’ and its accompanying U.S. tour. Following the release of ‘Headhunter’, KROKUS toured heavily across the United States during the summer of 1983. They gained massive exposure by opening for major arena acts like Def Leppard on their Pyromania tour.
Now we have here ”Headhunter USA Tour 1983”, a perfectly recorded show by Westwood One, sound quality is very good, A+.
Frontman Marc Storace commanded stages with raw, high-pitched vocal power, while the band’s dual-guitar attack and the fat, punishing drumming earned them a fierce reputation as a must-see live opening act. Fans frequently cite the 1983 live shows as the absolute peak of the band’s North American momentum.
Krokus managed to eke out two gold albums and tour the world as a fearsome opening act and low-level headliner during their heyday. Why they never achieved the multi-platinum heights of, say, Scorpions or Quiet Riot, is a mystery.

KROKUS – The Blitz [Rock Candy remastered & reloaded] *HQ*

“The Blitz” was Swiss hard rock pioneers KROKUS first ‘American’ album, including the hit “Ballroom Blitz”. Rock Candy Records did a much needed remaster of this record, for many Krokus’ best, as it mixes the band’s early attack with a radio friendly approach thanks to the expert hands of uber producer Bruce Fairbairn.
Riding high on a wave of creative and commercial success, in 1984 Krokus was ready to have the world at their feet. In just four short years the band had risen from obscurity in Europe to become major players on the world’s stages, particularly in the USA, where their previous album ‘HeadHunter’ sold a million copies and lodged itself at number twenty five on the album chart.
Fairbairn’s ear for commercialism took the band in a new streamline, but still hard rock direction, one highlighted by electrifying tracks such as “Midnite Maniac”, “Boys Night Out” (written by Bryan Adams) and a tub thumping cover of the Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz”…

KROKUS – Metal Rendez-Vous [Remastered & Reloaded] Out of Print *HQ Exclusive*

‘Remastered & Reloaded‘ by Rock Candy Records, KROKUS 1980’s “Metal Rendez-Vous” was part of the ’80s records of the band reissue campaign from the label. Something the fans of the Swiss Hard Rock pioneer band have been demanding for some time. This Rock Candy CD is out of print now > it’s time for a HQ upgrade w/ full scans.
Co-produced with the band in Switzerland by English producer Martin Pearson, the album contains a number of classic Krokus tracks including “Heatstrokes”, “Streamer”, “Tokyo Nights”, and my absolute favorite, the catchy “Bedside Radio”, of which still remain in the Krokus’ live set to this very day.
The early Krokus albums really needed a modern sound treatment, and this Rock Candy remaster does justice to this fun, hard rockin’ band…

As requested, here’s KROKUS most famous album ‘Remastered & Reloaded‘ by Rock Candy Records. The band’s LP “HeadHunter“, simply put, is one on our favorite Rock n’ roll albums of all time, appeared when Hard Rock took the world by storm again in 1983.
“Screaming In The Night”… what a song… the band’s biggest hit and is still regularly played on classic rock radio.
In 1983, at this point in their career Krokus were riding high, selling impressive quantities of records and playing numerous live gigs all over the world. With their profile higher than ever, the band were quickly ushered back into the studio to tape their seventh album, a record that would be their most successful to date and provide them with not only a gold record but their highest chart placing in the US.
“Headhunter”, then, is generally regarded as their most significant record, but not only for its sales achievement, also for the terrific metal / hard songs packed inside.
Recorded in Orlando, Florida the project was overseen by renowned British producer ‘Colonel’ Tom Allom (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Def Leppard) and it also introduced new drummer Steve Pace. There are also some surprising guest appearances on hand by Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford and the great Jimi Jamison (RIP)…

STORACE (Krokus) – Live And Let Live (2022)

KROKUS frontman Marc STORACE is releasing his first-ever solo album, “Live And Let Live”, in North America. The effort was previously only available in Switzerland. Krokus ended on a high note in December of 2019 with their “Adios Amigos” tour. 13 studio albums & 4 live albums later, Marc wasn’t done yet and formed his own band STORACE. And “Live and Let Live” is the result.
Not to be confused by its title, “Live and Let Live” is a studio recording, ten songs altogether from classic Hard Rock to Melodic Rock and there is even a bluesy number on this album.
For enthusiasts of loud guitars, uplifting hard rock, and all things Storace, ”Live and Let Live” is a dream come true. It’s the first time we’ve heard his voice sing all original music since Krokus’s 2013 album, Dirty Dynamite (2017’s Big Rocks was a covers album).
Although its been roughly half a decade since Storace last laid down his signature throat shredding vocals in the studio, don’t be fooled. This robust rock n’ roller can still bring the heat, going toe to toe with fellow shouters Biff Byford and Rob Halford in the “Holy shit how do they still sound so amazing?” category…

Pioneer Swiss hard rockers KROKUS are releasing a new CD/DVD, “Adios Amigos Live @ Wacken“, their farewell album. There is probably no band that doesn’t dream of playing at Germany’s Wacken Open Air, the biggest festival in the metal world. KROKUS rocked there for the second time in August 2019, this time on the main stage. What belonged together came together and the guys, who have played over 2,000 concerts worldwide in their 46-year career, experienced one of their strongest moments ever.
KROKUS rocks like hell on ”Adios Amigos” (Spanish for Goodbye Friends). If you look at the long-term output of this band, KROKUS is clearly one of the best hard rock bands of the last 40 years…

Requested by one of you, as far I know, this is the only remaster available of Krokus’ “Heart Attack”, done by Metal Mind Records, housed in a cool digipak, a limited edition to numerated 2000 copies, digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.
