DEEP PURPLE – Turning To Crime (2021) HQ

After five decades of records made chiefly of original material, DEEP PURPLE‘s upcoming 22nd studio album “Turning To Crime” consists solely of songs written and previously recorded by other artists: a criminal offense commonly described by the rock police and purists Grand Jury as ‘doing covers’.
Studio recordings of songs previously released by Love, Fleetwood Mac, Little Feat, The Yardbirds, Cream, and more – plus the ‘Caught In The Act’ medley feat. songs by Freddie King, Booker T. and the M.G.’s, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin and The Spencer Davis Group came to life with the band, for the first time in their career, recording them while not being in the same room.
‘Turning To Crime’ is Deep Purple enjoying playing music without commercial plans nor losing their edge and drive…

DEEP PURPLE continues expanding their collectors catalog with the release of “Live in Wollongong 2001” issued as part of the band’s ongoing ‘Soundboard Series’ – which makes use of rare live recordings from their archives.
With ”Live In Wollongong 2001” we go back to 2001, when Deep Purple once again toured one of the countries who love them the most: Australia. Recorded live on March 13th, 2001, the show brilliantly captures Purple heading into a new millennium, propelled forward through constant reinvention, still galvanized by the success of the album Purpendicular and, of course, their typical energetic live performance that is second to none.
The sound has been carefully restored from the original 48-track digital tapes and completely remixed and remastered in April 2021 by Martin Pullan at Edensound.
”Live In Wollongong 2001” is being available in a strictly limited and numbered collector’s edition on Double CD and Triple Vinyl, and it’s a must have for Purple/Jon Lord era fans…

In 2002, the DEEP PURPLE bassist joined forces with vocalist Randall Bramblett, daughter Gillian Glover, and guitarist Warren Haynes, among others – The Guilty Party – to deliver this varied rock album.
The re-release comes with a big plus – re-titled “Snapshot+” as it not only brings back these 14 original songs but also comes with five previously unreleased bonus demo tracks, all fully remastered which show the album in a completely new light. DEEP PURPLE – Perfect Strangers +1 [Japanese SHM-CD remastered]

As requested here we go with DEEP PURPLE ’80s comeback “Perfect Strangers“, reissued in Japan in a remastered form on a High Quality SHM-CD format. “Perfect Strangers” represents the first album recorded by the reformed (as well as the most successful and popular) Deep Purple ‘Mark II’ line-up after eleven years. Ritchie Blackmore and Roger Glover arrived from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake, and Ian Paice from Gary Moore’s backing band.
Updated to the ’80s standards, “Perfect Strangers”, produced by Roger Glover, adds some kind of glossy flavor to the sound, a more melodic approach according to times. The material featured on this comeback album is…

DEEP PURPLE – Whoosh! (2020)

DEEP PURPLE holds no punches on their upcoming album ‘‘Whoosh!”, and delivers a recording full of energy, proving there’s still plenty of gas in their tank. While contemporaries like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin choose to disband and focus on their members’ solo careers, Purple remains a tight and prolific unit, that simply refuses to quit.
File “Whoosh!” under “all killer, no filler”!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
