ST. PARADISE – St. Paradise [Rock Candy Remastered & Reloaded]

Regarded as a cult classic, ST. PARADISE‘s sole self-titled album has been freshly remastered by Rock Candy Records. This is a classic rock / traditional hard rock record yet plenty of melody criminally overlooked when originally released and one deserving a reissue.
Indeed, St. Pardise were a power trio that barely registered on the radar, despite the members’ impressive musical accomplishments, that were very much in keeping with the late 70s hard rock zeitgeist.
It was, in all fairness, a strange state of affairs that belied the quality of the music and drew attention to the fast shifting sands and volatile nature of the music business.
When originally released, “St. Pardise” underperformed despite its impressive content and potential to impress. Over the years the LP become a collectors piece, much sought after by classic hard rock fans, especially Ted Nugent / Derek St. Holmes / Montrose fans…

SAMMY HAGAR – Three Lock Box [Japan SHM-CD remastered Limited Release] HQ

Requested by many, here’s the really good SAMMY HAGAR album “Three Rock Box“, in its pristine Japanese remastered edition pressed on high quality SHM-CD, now out of print.
Sammy Hagar hit a nerve with his previous LP, and this follow-up “Three Lock Box” would prove not only that its predecessor wasn’t a fluke, but that the Red Rocker was in a legitimate groove when the album was released on Nov. 30, 1982.
According to Hagar himself, “Three Lock Box” is one of his favorite solo albums. Working with skilled producer Keith Olsen, this new effort was surrounded by a lush sound design, and collaborations from renowned AOR musicians such as Loverboy’s Mike Reno, Journey’s Jonathan Cain, future Mr. Mister’s Richard Page and Giant’s Alan Pasqua, among others.

GAMMA 3 [remastered Japanese SHM-CD] Out Of Print

Founded by guitarist Ronnie Montrose, GAMMA delivered a string of three stupendous albums in the lapse of 4 years between the very end of the Seventies and the early ’80s. All have been remastered in Japan and manufactured on high quality SHM-CD, released on Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP) reproducing the original artwork.
With the release of ‘Gamma 3‘ in 1982 the band had shifted from Melodic Hard Rock to an even more commercial, somewhat AORish FM Rock sound that combines elements of Asia and early 80’s Rush with, indeed, some Foreigner and a dash of Triumph, and we love it.

GAMMA 4 [Wounded Bird Records reissue]

Ronnie Montrose did a stellar 1979-82 run with his band GAMMA, a trail-blazing rock quintet with a melodic edge releasing 3 really good LPs. After that he continued with a solo career but returned with Gamma in 2000’s for their final release GAMMA 4, later reissued by Wounded Bird Records with better mastering.
Ronnie and Gamma’s vocalist Davey Pattison always appeared to enjoy working together, taking every opportunity to do so in the years after Gamma dissolved, including this four-fifths reunion of the Gamma 2 and 3 line-ups, with bassist Glenn Letsch and Gamma/Montrose drummer Denny Carmassi joining the fun.
GAMMA 4 is a more mature, bluesy hard rockin’ effort, with emphasis on guitars.

GAMMA 2 [remastered Japanese SHM-CD] Out Of Print

Founded by guitarist Ronnie Montrose and singer Davey Pattison in San Francisco at the end of the seventies, GAMMA delivered three stupendous albums in the lapse of 4 years.
All have been remastered in Japan and manufactured on high quality SHM-CD, released on Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP) reproducing the original artwork.
Produced by Foreigner / Aerosmith vet Gary Lyons GAMMA 2, originally released in 1980, is a killer rocking album.

GAMMA 1 [remastered Japanese SHM-CD] Out Of Print

Brainchild of guitarist Ronnie Montrose and singer Davey Pattison, GAMMA was founded in San Francisco at the end of the seventies delivering three stupendous albums in the lapse of 4 years. They returned in 2000 with a new effort, but the original records are the ones regarded as cult classics.
As requested, here’s all the now our of print GAMMA remastered Japanese reissues manufactured on high quality SHM-CD, released on Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP) reproducing the original artwork.
Anybody familiar with Ronnie Montrose’s earlier work, especially with Sammy Hagar as the frontman really ought to check out this overlooked band. Ronnie’s trademark, lean, mean, distinctive guitar tone is there as usual, but Gamma added the additional layers of synthesizers, tastefully…

Montrose enjoyed a stellar reputation as one of the best bands of the Seventies garnering extraordinary praise, if not immediate sales success. Their recording label wanted a more commercial body of work, with Ronnie Montrose insisting on a course of experimentation rather than repetition. So both agreed to hire an expertise knob-twiddler.
