DREAM THEATER – Lost Not Forgotten Archives; Live in Berlin (2022)

A brand-new addition to DREAM THEATER’s extensive ‘Lost Not Forgotten Archives’ project will be released tomorrow: ”Live in Berlin – 2019” documents one of the band’s first live European appearances supporting the critically acclaimed ‘Distance Over Time’ album, also released that year.
As part of ‘Lost Not Forgotten Archives’, the entirety of the collection will be reissued on CD, as well as for the very first time on vinyl and digital, fully remastered and with brand new artwork and packaging. The band have also been busy digging into their encyclopedic vault to find some very special, previously unreleased material.
”Live in Berlin – 2019” features some of the most popular tracks from that record including ‘Barstool Warrior’ and ‘Pale Blue Dot’, as well as long-standing entries from Dream Theater’s esteemed catalogue including ‘The Dance Of Eternity’, ‘Peruvian Skies’ and ‘Lie’.

Originally released on DREAM THEATER’s YtseJam Records in 2005, this one-of-a-kind performance sees Dream Theater again paying tribute to some of their historic musical icons. As part of the band’s Lost Not Forgotten Archives remastered reissues, “The Number of the Beast” is Dream Theater’s rendition of the classic album from legendary British heavy metallers, Iron Maiden.
This unique 2002 performance in front of a French audience at La Mutualite in Paris, France is the only available recording of this one-off historic event, forever preserved in the YtseJam collection and now available for the first time ever remastered and various formats.

JAMES LaBRIE, known internationally as the vocalist for progressive metal icons Dream Theater, embarks on uncharted waters with his fourth solo album, titled ‘Beautiful Shade Of Grey‘. The new endeavor sees him traverse personal maturation, loss, a myriad of complex relationships, and most importantly – LaBrie’s burning passion for music.
On paper, the latest studio offering from the Canadian singer first took shape shortly after the global pandemic began to emerge. But in reality, LaBrie formed a bond with his fellow collaborator, bassist Paul Logue, nearly a decade earlier.

The album features the original demos from the recording sessions of one of Dream Theater’s most esteemed albums, ”Falling Into Infinity”. These 16 tracks, recorded throughout 1996 and 1997 as demos for what would ultimately become 1997’s Falling Into Infinity studio release, spotlight some of the band’s most highly regarded works from that era.

The set includes the epic fan-favorite ‘A Change of Seasons’ and is one of the band’s earliest live recorded performances.
