PRIMAL FEAR – Primal Fear (Deluxe Edition remastered +3) (2022)

Founded by bassist Mat Sinner and vocalist Ralf Scheepers, and completed by guitarist Tom Naumann and drummer Klaus Sperling shortly after, German metal commandos PRIMAL FEAR started to pave their way to the top as one of the most consistent acts of the scene in 1997: 13 strong studio albums, countless shows around the globe and last but not least neverending passion influenced their now 25-year way to success, peaking in the form of hitting #7 of the German album charts and more top positions in other countries.
But before the group enter the studio once again and to celebrate the aforementioned anniversary, PRIMAL FEAR will release a deluxe version of their highly-praised self-titled debut album “Primal Fear” from 1998 — remastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, Denmark and including three bonus tracks.
“Primal Fear” now 2022 sounds punchier like never before – in our opinion, PRIMAL FEAR’s finest hard n’ heavy moment…

PRIMAL FEAR – I Will Be Gone (2021)

German metal institution PRIMAL FEAR will release a new five-track single, “I Will Be Gone“, on April 9, 2021 via Nuclear Blast. The effort will include an exclusive new version of the band’s achingly beautiful ballad “I Will Be Gone”, re-recorded with former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen.
“I Will Be Gone” gets an altogether new and deeply melancholic vibe with Tarja’s unbelievably emotional performance, showcasing a different facet of PRIMAL FEAR. Yet it’s not the only gift they deliver on this EP; “Vote Of No Confidence”, for example, is an all-new, previously unreleased beast of a song. Clocking in at over six minutes, this storming, furious anthem gives a brilliant glimpse of things to come.
Previously only available as bonus tracks on the limited “Metal Commando” digipak, three more songs complete this release: enchanting guitar instrumental “Rising Fear”; massive mid-tempo smasher “Leave Me Alone”; and killer, awesome ’80s-like metal tune “Second To None”…

With every album, an artist likes to believe it has created its seminal work. PRIMAL FEAR is no different and Mat Sinner & Magnus Karlsson have already declared this upcoming album “Metal Commando” to be the band’s best work. I don’t know if this is their ultimate studio effort, but certainly it’s truly representative of the best that Primal Fear is.
All the elements that fans have come to expect from these German legends is on display across the 11 tracks that encompass “Metal Commando”: melody & catchiness. Sinner, as usual did a brilliant job on the album production and his partner in crime, Jacob Hansen remains the master of the metal mix.
Primal Fear has a right to pound its chest boldly with this offering.
