TYGERS OF PAN TANG – Noises From The Cathouse [remastered +3] (2016) out of print

Originally released in 2004,”Noises From The Cathouse” was the second post-reformation album by Whitley Bay’s finest TYGERS OF PAN TANG. While in 2016 the band was finishing their brand new record, “Noises From The Cathouse” got re-released, fully remastered and with some really good bonus tracks. A limited Edition now out of print and requested by some here.
After more than 10 years after the band dissolution in the second half of the Eighties, original members Jess Cox and Robb Weir assembled a Tygers Of Pan Tang momentary line-up for a one-off show at Wacken in 1999 – immortalised later on the cunningly-titled album ‘Live At Wacken’.
With Cox out of the picture for a second time Weir put together a new Tygers for a new century, with Dean Robertson joining him on guitars, Brian West on bass, Craig Ellis on drums and Tony Liddell replacing Cox behind the mike stand.
The result of a trip to the studios was 2001’s ‘Mystical’, and two years and one vocalist later ‘Noises From The Cathouse’ appeared on Communiqué Records, with the solid Richie Wicks now fronting the band.

TYGERS OF PAN TANG – A New Heartbeat + ‘The New Sessions’ (2022)

Almost forty-five years passed since formed in 1978, and British hard rock / metal legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG are still alive and kickin’. The Tygers will forever be revered for being a part of the foundational NWOBHM movement. In spite of a few periods of hiatus, including one that lasted 12 years, the English act has been carrying the true rock torch.
Tenacity is a core facet that binds and propels any act that stands the test of time, and it served the Whitley Bay band well during the pandemic and related lockdown. The collective made the most of its downtime by recruiting new guitarist Francesco Marras and bassist Huw Holding.
They also wrote and demoed their next album, in addition to creating this new release, “A New Heartbeat” (mastered by First Signal / Harem Scarem’s Harry Hess), including new songs and re-recordings of TYGERS OF PAN TANG classics with the new line up.
A release that’s enjoyable for fans of the style and who value the old ways while appreciating modern hard rock and metal sensibilities…

TYGERS OF PAN TANG – Burning In The Shade [Cherry Red remaster Japan Edition mini-LP] (2018) *0dayrox EXCLUSIVE*

With the new, really cool TYGERS OF PAN TANG compilation release, many of you asked for the band’s more ‘AOR’ album from 1987: “Burning In The Shade“, in this excellent Cherry Red Records remaster – in this case its Japanese Edition mini-LP replica.
Tygers Of Pan Tang was one of the bands to define the NWOBHM sound, but in the mid-80s they changed in favor of the dominating Rock style from the era: melodic hard rock and arena-ready AOR.
The band already flirted with this on the previous album The Wreck-Age, however is on this “Burning In The Shade” where the AOR waves and uber polished production dominate the entire record…

TYGERS OF PAN TANG – Majors & Minors (2021)

UK legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG are set to release a new compilation, ”Majors And Minors’‘, featuring songs from the past thirteen years and with excellent vocalist Jacopo Meille, plus some previously unreleased tracks.
“Only The Brave” and “Destiny” kicks off the fifteen songs with strong crunchy guitars and a tight rhythm section leading into the chorus and hook. One of the qualities that set Tygers apart and different from their peers in the ‘80s was the attention to the melody. Well, many of the bands had it, but Tygers approach was even more melodic, like AOR rock.
“She”, exclusive for the CD, is a mid-tempo rocker that would have fit on the 1982’s album The Cage. Few current acts combine so well ‘the old with the new’ like TYGERS OF PAN TANG.
There’s not a weak moment throughout the 15 tracks of “Majors & Minors”
HIGHLY Recommended

TYGERS OF PAN TANG – Animal Instinct X2 [Reissue +5] *EXCLUSIVE*

In 2008, TYGERS OF PAN TANG were back in action with their full studio album ‘Animal Instinct’, the first with new vocalist Jacopo Meille, a celebrated comeback to the band’s roaring ’80s sound.
But the following year, 2009, British label Angel Air re-released the album re-titled “Animal Instinct X2“, with the band including 5 bonus tracks plus a DVD.
The original material contained on Animal Instinct sees the band retaining all the classic elements of their sound yet these songs also come across as remarkably fresh and current as well. It’s almost as if Meille gave these guys a firm kick to their asses because there is definitely a rejuvenated feeling permeating throughout.
And among the bonus tracks (recorded in 2009 especially for this release) we find new versions of the Tygers’ classics ‘Love Potion No 9’ and ‘Gangland’, where Meille rocks great at the mic.
”Animal Instinct X2” seems out of print now, with used copies being sold for U$D 985.00!

TYGERS OF PAN TANG – Ambush [Expanded Remastered Reissue 2020]

Originally released in 2012, “Ambush” might now be seen as the first in a run of three career redefining albums for rocking 80s titans TYGERS OF PAN TANG; although their previous album, 2008’s Animal Instinct – the first to feature vocalist Jacopo Miele – marked the band’s recovery from the mid-career doldrums of non-starting albums, it was ”Ambush”, and the band’s rekindling of their relationship with mega producer Chris Tsangarides that really saw the Tygers finding it’s creative feet and confidence again.
They even managed to sleeve the album in a Rodney Matthews-painted cover, a sure sign that things were on the improve a camp Tyger…
A killer melodic, hard rocking album now expanded & remastered with previously unreleased material from the same sessions.
