STRYPER – Roxx Regime Demos [Limited Edition Remastered +3] (2019) *Exclusive*

In 2019 STRYPER celebrated 20 years of their website on the world wide web. To make it special they featured some exclusive content and put on sale “The Roxx Regime Demos [Limited Edition Remastered +3]“, a limited, collector’s edition of their very early recordings.
Before Stryper’s major label record deals; before multi-platinum albums; before chart-topping videos; before history was made… there was Roxx Regime. In 1983 brothers Robert and Michael Sweet teamed up with high-school classmate Oz Fox and local bassist Timothy Gaines to form a band that would forever change the history of Christian rock music. The four guys released a demo under the name Roxx Regime and started playing the local Hollywood club circuit.
These demos were previously released on July 7, 2007 (7-7-7) on CD. Now this remastered version feature the eight original tracks… plus three demos that have never been released.
If you think ‘demos’ can’t be improved… well, in fact these were professionally recorded songs, and when you have multi-track tapes, expert hands can make miracles.
Production was limited to only 1,000 copies and features new cover artwork. This extremely limited-edition release was also pressed on colored vinyl… of course, all CD’s & LP’s are sold out now.
Be aware there’s fake versions of this remastered version floating the web … this is the real one.

STRYPER – The Final Battle (2022) *0dayrox World Premiere* HQ

Legendary, long-running heavy metallers STRYPER are set to return with a brand new studio album, “The Final Battle” Firmly continuing the trend established over their last few albums, “The Final Battle” sees the band growing heavier while also maintaining their trademark melodies, virtuoso guitar playing, and air tight rhythms.
“The Final Battle” was crafted during the most challenging time of the band’s career. While they suffered the same setbacks faced by all artists during the course of the global pandemic, the band also had to contend with Oz Fox’s ongoing battle with brain tumors and for Michael Sweet, a detached retina which required multiple medical procedures, the use of an eye patch, and limited mobility for stretches of time.
But rather than let the adversity get them down, the band accepted these challenges and channeled it into writing some of the greatest songs of their storied career.
Defying all logic, “The Final Battle” somehow manages to best it’s immediate predecessors, “No More Hell To Pay” (2013), “Fallen” (2015), “God Damn Evil” (2018), and “Even The Devil Believes” (2020), continuing the band’s unprecedented late career streak of releasing arguably the best albums of their multi-decade career…

MICHAEL SWEET – Unstryped : The Post Stryper Sessions [Out of Print] HQ

As requested, here’s the out of print Stryper’s MICHAEL SWEET disc “Unstryped : The Post Stryper Sessions” recorded in Ontario, CA, in 1992 yet not officially released until 2000. The album includes several songs that were left from Stryper sessions, with Tony Palacios (Guardian) playing several guitar solos.
The overall sound & style is hard-edged AOR / melodic rock that could have easily been on the next Stryper album after ‘Against The Law’, but at the time Stryper broke up. ”Unstryped” is quite different from Sweet’s actual, official solo album that was released 2 years after this recording sessions. Only one of the songs (‘All I Wanna Do’) actually made into that first solo album track list…

MICHAEL SWEET – Reborn Again (2021) *0dayrox EXCLUSIVE*

Another worldwide exclusive at 0dayrox: MICHAEL SWEET‘s new solo album ”Reborn Again”. This is the original solo album Michael planned in early 2000’s, but ended being a Stryper comeback album after reunite again titled ‘Reborn’, of course, re-recorded by all members.
Says Michael: “After years of requests and a lot of thought, I decided to release the original versions/tracks and add some things that I felt were always missing: guitar solos, high vocal notes, more rhythm guitars, synth parts and an alternate version of “Passion”. The original drums and bass are clean and punchy and Derek & Lou did an outstanding job laying down the foundation. I’ve always wanted everyone to hear what these original versions sound alike”
And they sound great…
The general style on “‘Reborn Again” is pretty less heavier than on the Stryper versions of these songs. Overall melodic and driven by modern riffs, Michael vocals are on spot here…

Now we have here in exclusive the last of the STRYPER albums from the new Universal Music Japan campaign “HR/HM 1000 Vol.2 reissue series” including some awesome titles you need to own in a superior Japanese CD for a reasonable price.
And it’s the criminally underrated “Against The Law“, where Stryper changed in the musical and visual direction for a more commercial, eye catching look. Gone were the yellow and black spandex outfits, the bold evangelical lyrics and the original band logo with Isaiah 53:5. In their place were leather outfits, and lyrics more focused on rock n’ roll lifestyle.
Produced by expert Tom Werman, “Against The Law” is late ’80s US hard rock / metal with that big sound & polish. And we have Jeff Scott Soto on background / harmony vocals.

STRYPER – Soldiers Under Command [Japan HR/HM 1000 Vol.2 reissue series] (2020) *EXCLUSIVE*

As part of the new Universal Music Japan campaign “HR/HM 1000 Vol.2 reissue series” including some awesome titles you need to own in a superior Japanese CD for a reasonable price. We just purchased STRYPER‘s defining album “Soldiers Under Command“, and the sound quality is great.
”Soldiers Under Command” was the LP were everything came together for Stryper’s sound, which would finely pay off and earn them a gold status and started the band’s rise to stardom.
The hair metal catchiness from the era is blended with the band’s metallic attack on ”Soldiers Under Command’, for many, Stryper’s best balanced album. From one song to another, the arrangements are tight, and the hooks, harmonies and melodies manage to stay planted on solid metal terrain despite their potential radio accessibility.

STRYPER – Even The Devil Believes (2020)

Once again proving their lasting durability, iconic hard rock band STRYPER return with their 13th studio album, ‘Even the Devil Believes’, via Frontiers Music Srl. Filled with the band’s signature riffs, harmony-laden melodies and positive themes, the eleven song project is Stryper’s first studio album with Perry Richardson (Firehouse) on bass and backing vocals.
Slowly steering away from their successful 80s commercial sound, in recent time the band went into a heavier direction, crystallizing on this brand new album, where past and present fuse extremely well.

STRYPER – God Damn Evil [Japan Edition +1] (2018)

The last decade of STRYPER‘s career has been quite prolific and now they’re back with the strong “God Damn Evil“, the new album on Frontiers Music, and Avalon / Marquee in this Japanese Edition plus a bonus track.
When Stryper’s landmark ‘To Hell With The Devil’ hit MTV hard, many churchgoers were divided about their big hair, spandex jumpsuits, and heavy guitars. They gave us license to rock for the rock, as they liked to say.
Target practice was easy for the naysayers. The drastic heights of the aquanet hair. The iconic eyesore of the yellow and black attack wardrobe and staging. The saccharine sweet ballads that brought ladies out to a metal show.
Love them or hate them, Stryper was doing their own thing.
More than 30 years later, they still are.
The fashion, hair, and ballads have all been toned down, but the guitars have been cranked up. Lead singer Michael Sweet has traded his feminine-sounding falsetto to claim his place among the upper echelon of stratospheric screamers like Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson. The guys are confounding middle age gravity with insane vocal ranges.
