THIN LIZZY – Black Rose [2-CD Rock Candy remastered & production]

With the new – and excellent – THIN LIZZY box set presented here, many of you asked for the band’s albums in its best sound quality CD press. 0dayrox team, being a big Lizzy fan, will select what we consider the best of them.
Now it’s time for the Irish hard rock legends most iconic album, the awesome “Black Rose“. There’s a SACD version that we never heard – and should sound awesome – however it’s the regular album version. We think this 2-CD release is the one to get, as includes a bonus disc of worthwhile material.
Additionally, the production / technical of this double disc reissue was handled by the Rock Candy Records team. It has been remastered by resident Andy Pearce and if you look the booklet artwork it’s done in the same Rock Candy fashion.

THIN LIZZY – Chinatown [Japan SHM-CD remastered / My Generation, My Music series] out of print

With the new – and excellent – THIN LIZZY box set presented here, many of you asked for the band’s albums in its best sound quality CD press. 0dayrox team, being a big Lizzy fan, will select what we consider the best of them.
Now it’s time for the underrated “Chinatown“, and our choice is this very hard to find, now out of print, remastered SHM-CD appeared as part of the Universal Music Japan series ‘My Generation, My Music’.
Sure, the deluxe edition is cool including some live / rehearsal material, however this remaster is better in our opinion, warmer, almost in an analog LP style (which is better)…

THIN LIZZY – Thunder And Lightning [Japan SHM-CD remastered] *EXCLUSIVE*

After the recent – and excellent – THIN LIZZY box set, many of you asked for the band’s albums in its best sound quality CD press. 0dayrox team, being a big Lizzy fan, will select what we consider the best of them.
Thunder And Lightning” is very special album. It marked the end of an era. It was March of 1983 that THIN LIZZY released ”Thunder And Lightning”, which would end up being their final effort of original material prior to the death of Phil Lynott in early 1986.
Sure, there’s the Deluxe Edition out there, remastered and with a bonus disc of demos/live (which is good but noy essential), but this Japanese edition on SHM-CD sounds better. It uses the previous remaster than the Deluxe, and it feels more warm and ‘vinyl’.

THIN LIZZY – Renegade +5 [Japan SHM-CD mini-LP remastered] Out Of Print

After the recent – and excellent – THIN LIZZY box set, many of you asked for the band’s albums in its best sound quality CD press. This team, being a big Lizzy fan, will select what we consider the best of them.
In the case of ‘Renegade’, the Deluxe Edition wins, simply because it adds worthy material as bonus; rare singles, versions, and a B-side, all recorded at the same sessions. This Japaneses edition on SHM-CD is out of print now.
A criminally underrated album into THIN LIZZY discography, “Renegade” it’s a very good record. Naysayers compare this with the band’s previous albums, and man, it’s hard to top those in terms of quality.
“Renegade” has a charm of its own, with tracks like “Hollywood” or “Mexican Blood” endearing themselves to you rather than crashing onto the scene like classic tunes of old.

GRAND SLAM – Hit The Ground (2019)

The original GRAND SLAM line-up included legendary Thin Lizzy’s founder Phil Lynott but after his untimely death in 1986, the group disbanded. However, fast-forward 33 years and the band have now reformed by great guitarist Laurence Archer (UFO, Archer / Scallan) with a new crew which honors the traditions of the band’s history, whilst also looking to the future.
“Hit The Ground” is their new rocking album – of course, Thin Lizzy influenced – to be released tomorrow, November 22.

GARY MOORE – Back On The Streets [Rock Candy remaster]

Universal Music released some time ago this remastered, expanded version of GARY MOORE’s first solo album, “Back On The Streets“.
This is in fact a Rock Candy remaster, although it’s not credited to them due to legal reasons. But you will see that the 12 page full color booklet, 3,000 word essay, enhanced artwork and rare photos are in the typical Rock Candy fashion.
And yes, the album was remastered by Rock Candy resident Andy Pearce.

BLACK STAR RIDERS – Another State Of Grace (2019)

“Another State Of Grace” is the fourth studio album by American rockers BLACK STAR RIDERS. I expect that any band who has put out three quite exceptional slabs of hard rock is always under pressure to come up with the goods and edge that last release to keep the fire burning and the fan base growing, but this fourth outing...

JOHN SYKES – Please Don’t Leave Me [Japan remastered SHM-CD]

Last May, Universal Music Japan has started a reissue series of classic albums on SHM-CD, remastered and with a very affordable price. One of these to get for sure is the much sought after “Please Don’t Leave Me” by the great JOHN SYKES.
Composed by future Whitesnake guitarist John Sykes, “Please Don’t Leave Me” was released as single under his name in 1982. The song features Thin Lizzy band members Phil Lynott on vocals and bass, Brian Downey on drums and Darren Wharton (later founder of Dare) on keyboards.
Ten years after of its original release and due to John Sykes’ fame with Whitesnake and Blue Murder, “Please Don’t Leave Me” was re-released in 1992, this time in the form of a compilation album that included a selection of non-album studio and live tracks from Sykes’ tenure with Tygers Of Pan Tang…

BLUE MURDER – Blue Murder [Rock Candy remastered]

BLUE MURDER self-titled album not only it’s one of the best appeared in glorious year 1989, but also one of the best remasters ever done by Rock Candy Records specialists.
Founded by superb guitarist John Sykes in 1988 after being fired from Whitesnake by David Coverdale, Sykes took the reins of his destiny in his hands. He returned home to England, where his mother and stepfather have a studio in Blackpool.
Sykes decided to scrap his search for a vocalist and handle the vocal duties himself, completing the band with two terrific cats; Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, King Kobra) on drums and Tony Franklin (The Firm, Whitesnake) on bass.
The album that Sykes, Appice and Franklin recorded is nothing less than spectacular.
Taking his guitar playing a step beyond his work with Whitesnake, Sykes produced edgy, fluid and explosive guitar rhythms. His solo work on the record is awe inspiring. No one can miss the legato phrasing and vibrato of John Sykes…

Twelfth and final studio recording by the Irish wonders, “Thunder And Lightning” was...

BLACK STAR RIDERS – All Hell Breaks Loose (2013)

In May 2010, original Thin Lizzy member Scott Gorham announced the latest incarnation of the group, whose toured sporadically with various line-ups since 1996. In the middle, they composed new material for a possible release as a Thin Lizzy studio album, but fortunately, the musicians decided to move forward with a new band name; BLACK STAR RIDERS.
