LYNCH MOB – Lynch Mob [Rock Candy Remastered +2] (2021) HQ 0dayrox Exclusive

Here’s in exclusive the Rock Candy remastered treatment on LYNCH MOB‘s second, self-titled album “Lynch Mob“, including bonus tracks. Curiously, the two bonus tracks aren’t listed in the CD back cover. Both are the original Japanese edition bonuses.
Lynch Mob’s debut album Wicked Sensation certainly turned a few heads. All was shaping up well for album #2 but there were changes afoot. Vocalist Oni Logan had stepped away from the project leaving the spot open for another fine blues-based howler. Casting around for a suitable replacement, the band identified an excellent, but relatively unknown, replacement by the name of Robert Mason.
This time around the band opted to dispense with the services of their previous producer and turn to Keith Olsen instead. Keith’s track record was stellar; having produced massive hit records for Whitesnake and the Scorpions among many others.
It also paved the way for a slight shift in direction from their core blues rock style to a far more malleable and melodic hard rock sound, something that optimized Mason’s voice perfectly.

The album features nine brand new tracks and three bonus tracks from Lynch who is backed by drummer Jimmy D’Anda and bassist Eric Loiselle.
From the driving guitar riff of album opener “Quiver” and the shred-tastic, light-speed of “Death by a Thousand Licks” to the haunting outro of album closer “Falling Apart,” it is clear George Lynch was looking to explore his writing and love for the guitar.

LYNCH MOB – Smoke And Mirrors [Limited Edition] + bonus

Co-produced by Bob Kulick, ”Smoke And Mirrors” is the LYNCH MOB album where original vocalist Oni Logan returned into the fold, as well as the hard rock signature sound that the band was known for with their debut CD ‘Wicked Sensation’. George Lynch completed the line-up with renowned bass player Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy) and drummer Scot Coogan (Brides Of Destruction).
Does Smoke And Mirrors capture the magic of years past? The answer is yes, considering more than twenty years passed between albums. Logan still has the powerful voice of yesteryear and Lynch himself hasn’t sounded this energetic in ages. It occasionally makes for perfection, but once in awhile the pair do lose their focus.
When this duo is on top of their game they have always managed to deliver somewhat haunting melodic rock. It’s not the pop-metal of Dokken, but a darker and more ominous feel, and the type of sound that Lynch Mob has (for the most part) re-created on ”Smoke And Mirrors”…

GEORGE LYNCH & JEFF PILSON – Heavy Hitters (2020)

Guitar-shredding virtuoso George Lynch re-teams with former Dokken bandmate Jeff Pilson for a set of new studio recordings that turn pop music classics into powerful metal / hard rock anthems.
“Heavy Hitters” features jaw-dropping renditions of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World,” Prince’s “Kiss,” One Republic’s “Apologize,” Carole King’s “I Feel The Earth,” Oasis’ “Champagne Supernova” and more.
It’s all very well and professionally done, the gems coming in the shape of really rocky interpretations of Prince‘s ”Kiss”, and ”Music” by Madonna. Both receive superb guitar driven reworkings, but neither loses the essence of the original release either.

SWEET & LYNCH – Only To Rise [Japanese Edition +1] HQ

One of you asked for a revamp on SWEET & LYNCH‘s really good debut record “Only To Rise“, this time in its Japanese Edition including a bonus track.
’80s Hard Rock is far from dead. A new collaboration from George Lynch and Michael Sweet is coming to show the rumors of its demise are premature.
“Only To Rise” is the debut album title, and SWEET & LYNCH is the name of the newest super-group to come together to make some old fashion, ass kickin’ classic US Hard Rock.
It’d be tacky to grab an easy pun and say here’s a match made in you-know-where, yet an alliance between Stryper’s Michael Sweet and guitar hero George Lynch is most definitely a match. This pairing only seems awkward upon first glance, but there’s a perfect logic to these guys hooking up.
Michael Sweet himself has stated on record he’d considered Lynch a ‘bucket list’ musician to work with and, straight outta the Eighties, SWEET & LYNCH was born.
