HOLLYWOOD UNDERGROUND – st (feat Jeff Scott Soto, members of Warrant, Roxy Blue, Keel, Southgang)

As requested, here’s the album released under the name HOLLYWOOD UNDERGROUND by Jerry Dixon (Warrant’s bass player) including the several tracks they recorded with different musicians, and some other side-projects that never materialized.
This is ’80s US glam metal / melodic hard rock with catchy choruses featuring the likes of Jeff Scott Soto, ex Roxy Blue vocalist Todd Poole on songs when he was briefly part of Warrant, Jesse Harte (ex Southgang vocalist), unreleased demos with Jani Lane, Night Ranger drummer Kelly Keagy, Tommy Thayer (Kiss, ex Black ‘N Blue, ex Doro) on guitar, and more.
Sound quality is fine overall, and it’s a pleasure to hear, as example, Soto on the rocker ‘Arms of Love”, Jesse Harte’s voice on ‘Girl’, Todd Poole on ‘Does it Matter’…

AXEL RUDI PELL – Diamonds Unlocked I [+12 0dayrox extras]

After the recent, second AXEL RUDI PELL covers album, as requested by many, here’s the first “Diamonds Unlocked I “released in 2007 including versions from Kiss, Michael Bolton, Montrose, etc. with the great Johnny Gioeli at the mic.
And as 0dayrox extra we added all (12 songs) covers done by AXEL RUDI PELL Band all over their career, including Rob Rock and Jeff Scott Soto on lead vocals.
If there is a rock musician from Germany who is extremely respected about his ability to never disappoints us, that’s certainly Mr. Axel Rudi Pell. And this cover album “Diamonds Unlocked” isn’t an exception but it’s also really nice to listen to the Metal versions of those really eclectics songs… Axel Rudi Pell rocks no doubt…

JEFF SCOTT SOTO – 24th Of June: Alive ‘N Kissing [Rare promo only CD]

In the mid-1990s, when JEFF SCOTT SOTO released his debut solo album ‘Love Parade’, the record company decided to organize a press conference and invite many reporters from various countries. That was the way that many people could gather in one room and ask many different questions and find out everything they wanted to know.
And just before it happened Soto and his musicians, including Gary Schutt, Michael Voss, and Takara’s Neal Grusky, decided that it could be interesting to play an acoustic set after all the questions were answered. So the set was recorded, and released under the title “Alive ‘N Kissing“, but in very small quantities – a collectors item now.
It’s very cool hearing Jeff Scott Soto performing songs of Journey, Takara, or Prince, and enjoy his unique voice.

Jeff Scott SOTO – Revision (2020)

Jeff Scott SOTO is releasing a new album titled “Revision“, where Jeff revisits 10 songs from his catalog, re-imagined, re-recorded, re-done and re-visioned 2020.
All songs have been produced, arranged and performed by Jeff, mostly unplugged including acoustic guitar, bass, piano and percussion – all done by himself. There’s some tracks where there’s just Jeff and his piano, and are amazing.
Only external personnel was used for the Mix, including long time collaborators David Clarkson, John Ellis, and Alessandro Del Vecchio.
There’s a legal conflict with the release of this album as Jeff Scott Soto / JSS, so Jeff decided to use his band SOTO as moniker & logo on the artwork – but this is a true JEFF SCOTT SOTO ‘solo’ album.
Awesome performances by this incredible vocalist.

TAKARA (Jeff Scott Soto) – Eternity : The Best 93-98

As requested, here’s “Eternity : The Best 93-98” the must have compilation selecting the best of TAKARA, the partnership between guitarist Neal M. Grusky and the mighty Jeff Scott Soto.
Takara was founded by Grusky in 1987, and soon after Soto joined the project. While the vocalist was very busy with many other bands, they composed and recorded songs for over five years, which ended into Takara’s debut album in 1993.
Takara were one of the few bands carrying the classic 80s melodic hard rock flag during the Nineties, and some of the material here is truly stupendous, including a couple of unreleased tracks.
Talented musicians are part of these recordings such as Bob Daisley, Gary Schutt, Eric Ragno, etc, but the star here is the one and only JSS.

BUMBLEFOOT (Sons Of Apollo) – Barefoot 2 & 3 The Acoustic EP’s (2020) + VOICES OF APOLLO debut *EXCLUSIVE*

As requested, here’s the just released two Ep’s by BUMBLEFOOT, “Barefoot 2 & 3“. Very busy with Sons Of Apollo and other projects, now with the Covid-19 lockdown the guitarist found time to record these songs.
Some time ago Bumblefoot released the first “Barefoot” acoustic ep, a collection of own songs played as stripped-down acoustic versions.
Now for “Barefoot 2 & 3”, Bumblefoot is doing acoustic versions of songs he always loved and wanted to cover, including ‘Wasted Years’ (Iron Maiden), ‘Every Little Thing’ (The Police), ‘Only Time Will Tell (Asia)’. Recorded in April 2020, raw and natural sounding, these are great versions.
But wait, we have more; while in quarantine, Bumblefoot and his Sons Of Apollo bandmates Mike Portnoy and Jeff Scott Soto have recorded a new song few days ago under the moniker VOICES OF APOLLO, a Beatles cover they often sing together on tour.
